Independence gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Page Patriots as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

While Independence won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-20.

Elia Dinsmore paced Independence's offense, picking up 13 kills. Dinsmore got some help from Caitlyn Bragg and her 20 assists. Ellie Faszholz controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Independence has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Christ Presbyterian Academy on the 20th. As for Page, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Siegel on the 21st.
