Independence took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Page Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

While Independence won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-20.

Elia Dinsmore paced Independence's offense, picking up 13 kills. Dinsmore got some help from Caitlyn Bragg and her 20 assists. Ellie Faszholz controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Christ Presbyterian Academy on the 20th. As for Page, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Siegel on the 21st.
