Volleyball Game Preview: Santa Paula Cardinals vs. Nordhoff Rangers

Santa Paula hasn't had much luck against Nordhoff recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cardinals will host the Rangers at 6:00 p.m.

Santa Paula is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since August 13th on Friday. They lost 3-0 to Foothill Tech. The shutout was out of character for the Cardinals seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Santa Paula took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-12, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Nordhoff got the win against Carpinteria on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Nordhoff walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-16.

Nordhoff's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Santa Paula, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
