Recap: Richland Bombers vs. Graham-Kapowsin Eagles

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Richland Bombers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They suffered a tough 56-35 loss at the hands of Graham-Kapowsin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Richland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Graham-Kapowsin is ranked third).

Richland's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brody Bocek, who picked up 185 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and Joshua Woodard who threw for 483 yards and four touchdowns. Bocek was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 67 yards. Rayce Reeves also helped out as he racked up 119 receiving yards.

Daveon Superales went supernova for Graham-Kapowsin, throwing for 430 yards and six touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Superales has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times he's played. Malachi Durant was in the mix as well, providing Graham-Kapowsin with three touchdowns.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Graham-Kapowsin, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record.

Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Graham-Kapowsin will be playing in front of their home fans against Gonzaga Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gonzaga Prep will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
