Basketball Recap: Muir Takes a Loss

Muir played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Arcadia Apaches 65-26. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Apaches recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Arcadia got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nick Wallace Jr out in front who went 5 for 9 en route to 18 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Noa Eteuati-Edwards, who posted 17 points along with six assists and four steals.

Muir's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Arcadia, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Muir will square off against Burroughs at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Muir is facing Burroughs at the right time seeing as Burroughs is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Arcadia has already played their next contest (against Crescenta Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
