Basketball Recap: St. John Paul II Takes a Loss

St. John Paul II was the 62-53 winner over New Hope when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell just short of the Indians by a score of 49-47 on Thursday.

St. John Paul II's loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for New Hope, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John Paul II will square off against Madison County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for New Hope, they and Sardis will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
