Chillicothe fell victim to Moberly and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Chillicothe's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Moberly, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Chillicothe will take on Cameron at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Moberly, they will square off against Fulton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
