Volleyball Recap: Fleming County Panthers vs. Henry Clay Blue Devils

Fleming County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Henry Clay Blue Devils, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-19, 25-17.

Henry Clay can attribute much of their success to Cooper Pugh, who had eight digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Pugh a new career-high.

Fleming County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Henry Clay, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Fleming County will head out to square off against Letcher County Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Henry Clay, they will take on Chicago Christian in a tournament on Friday.
