League recap: West Lauderdale stuns Leake Central in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to West Lauderdale, who took down 63rd ranked Leake Central, 18-14.

Houston moved up to 175 from 204 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region 4. The Hilltoppers were able to move up by topping Caledonia 13-0.

The Gators' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jamall Collins threw for 210 and 1 touchdown and Greg Collins had 113 yards receiving. On the ground Jamari Green chipped in 102 yards. Lavonte Dillard helped Leake Central's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 46 yards.

Collins put up the best numbers in passing as Leake Central fell to the Knights. Collins' favorite target this week was Collins, who caught 4 passes for 113 yards.

Leake Central's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Gators feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Collins has thrown for 595 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Collins has 16 catches for 324 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when John Sallis' team takes on Noxubee County. At the moment, the Gators are in first, while the Tigers are in third.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Leake Central takes on Noxubee County. The Gators have allowed 58 points this season, while Tyrone Shorter's team has given up 97. Leake Central allowed 18 points last week as it lost to West Lauderdale.
