Basketball Recap: Evergreen Gets the Win

Evergreen won the last time they faced Ottawa Hills and things went their way on Monday too. The Evergreen Vikings slipped by the Ottawa Hills Green Bears 49-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Ottawa Hills lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kendell Skiver, who went 8 of 16 on her way to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Skiver's afternoon made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Berenzweig, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Evergreen now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Ottawa Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Evergreen will be playing in front of their home fans against Archbold at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ottawa Hills, they will venture away from home to face off against Toledo Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
