Volleyball Recap: Delaney Wells Key Part of Team Effort in Hillmen Win

Placer had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Del Campo on Thursday. The Hillmen blew past the Cougars 3-0. The Hillmen haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Placer not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Del Campo between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-19.

Placer's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Delaney Wells, who had seven digs and two aces. Those seven digs gave Wells a new career-high.

Placer's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Del Campo, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14.
