West Port's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 33-1 margin over the Cedar Key Sharks. With that win, the Wolf Pack brought their scoring average up to 9.5 runs per game.
West Port got a massive performance out of Ahmari Dixon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Dixon has posted since back in February of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of JP Latorre, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs and four RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: West Port kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
West Port's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.
Looking ahead, West Port will head out on the road to face off against Lake Highland Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolf Pack's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Highlanders have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
