Delaware Valley and Scranton Prep are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Delaware Valley is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Delaware Valley blew Valley View out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Valley View got their revenge. The Warriors fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Warriors have suffered since May 13, 2025.

Will Fells was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Londyn Hernandez and Jesse Hawke did some serious damage despite the final result: Hernandez went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Hawke went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Jameson Kirschner also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Scranton Prep fell victim to Wallenpaupack Area and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buckhorns. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Cavaliers were not able to get on the board.

Scranton Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Delaware Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Delaware Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Scranton Prep in their previous matchup back in March, winning 14-9. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Cavaliers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
