Softball Recap: Spanish Fort's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Spanish Fort entered their tilt with Lee-Scott Academy on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 10-0 win.

Jayla Harris made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Haley Hart, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Madison Griffith was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Spanish Fort always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Spanish Fort's record now sits at 16-3. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Spanish Fort and Lee-Scott Academy will both be playing Palatka the next time they take the field. Lee-Scott Academy will host Palatka at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Spanish Fort will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
