Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Olentangy's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

The Olentangy Braves made easy work of the Pickerington North Panthers on Monday and carried off a 16-1 win. Considering the Braves have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Olentangy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Pickerington North, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-14 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olentangy will host New Albany at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Pickerington North, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Logan Elm at 5:15 p.m.
