Basketball Recap: Mckinleyville Continues Home Dominance on Friday

McKinleyville won against Eureka last Wednesday with 67 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The McKinleyville Panthers came out on top against the Del Norte Warriors by a score of 67-54. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 41-39 defeat the last time these two teams met.

McKinleyville was led to victory by Neil Moon and Bode Douglass. Moon went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points, while Douglass went 8 of 14 en route to 24 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Maher, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

McKinleyville pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Del Norte, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.
