Basketball Game Preview: Dallas Lutheran Lions vs. Wylie Prep Academy Patriots

The Dallas Lutheran Lions will challenge the Wylie Prep Academy Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

After dropping their season opener at home, Wylie Prep Academy is headed out to face a Lions squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Dallas Lutheran was outmatched by Garland Christian Academy and fell 41-4.

Meanwhile, Wylie Prep Academy was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 40-39 to Legacy Christian Academy. While the Patriots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 16-9 in the first quarter.

Dallas Lutheran will have to contain Emily True as she made an impact in Wylie Prep Academy's last game. She almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. True has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Remey Cunniff, who posted six points along with six assists and five boards.

Even though they lost, Wylie Prep Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.
