Baseball Recap: Timpanogos Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Timpanogos walked away with it. They never let the Pine View Panthers get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Friday. Considering the Timberwolves have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Canyon Clegg made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Clegg was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Timpanogos got a massive performance out of Collin Morgan, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Morgan has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Sotelo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Timpanogos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pine View only posted an OBP of .211.

The victory (which was Timpanogos' third in a row) raised their record to 20-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Pine View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-14-1.

As of now, neither Timpanogos nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
