Volleyball Recap: St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles vs. Hutchison Sting

After flying high against Fayette Academy on Tuesday, St. Benedict at Auburndale came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Hutchison Sting on Thursday, falling 3-0. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Sting when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-21, 25-11.

Morgan Miller paced St. Benedict at Auburndale's offense, picking up six kills. Miller got some help from Ashlyn Underwood and her nine assists. Adelyn Price controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

St. Benedict at Auburndale has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Hutchison, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-9.

St. Benedict at Auburndale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Tipton-Rosemark Academy on the 4th. Hutchison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
