Volleyball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline managed to slip by Frederick the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Falcons came up short against the Golden Eagles on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Falcons' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

While Skyline was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 25-21.

Gabriela Medina-Valdez paced Skyline's offense, picking up 14 kills. Medina-Valdez got some help from Lizeth Medina-Valdez and her 20 assists. Gabriela was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Skyline now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Frederick, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Skyline has already played their next contest (against Conifer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Frederick, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Broomfield on the 25th.
