Colonial Heights fell victim to L.C. Bird and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Skyhawks by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Colonial Heights have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Dinwiddie brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Their defense stepped up to hand Petersburg a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Dinwiddie's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Dinwiddie's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Colonial Heights, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-5-1.

Colonial Heights came out on top in a nail-biter against Dinwiddie in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Colonials repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
