Baseball Recap: Salmon Comes Up Short

Salmon had taken North Fremont down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Savages fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 10-8. The Savages were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Reuel McCallum made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Eli Pakuer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Salmon dropped their record down to 2-3-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for North Fremont, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, Salmon and North Fremont will both be playing Gooding the next time they take the field. The Huskies will head out to face the Senators at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Savages will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
