Basketball Recap: Louise Takes a Loss

Louise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the El Campo Ricebirds and fell 56-16.

Louise's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kenedy Long-Brown, who posted six points and 11 boards, and Paige Lutringer, who put up no points and five rebounds. Those six points gave Long-Brown a new career-high.

It was another big night for Riannah Miles, who had 15 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards for El Campo. Miles is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kami Miller, who posted six points in addition to 12 boards and three steals.

Louise's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for El Campo, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Louise wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-7 loss against Tidehaven on the 27th. As for El Campo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-47 win against Yorktown on the 27th.
