Volleyball Game Preview: Hayden Tigers vs. Meeker Cowboys + How To Watch

Hayden hasn't had much luck against Meeker recently, but that could start to change on Friday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hayden challenged Grand Valley on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 3-2.

Hayden actually scored more points across those five sets (104-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-22, 25-19, 14-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Meeker made easy work of Rangely on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cowboys.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-12, 25-12.

Meeker's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Hayden, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: Hayden has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Meeker struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Hayden might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Meeker in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
