Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Kerr-Vance Academy turned things around against Neuse Christian Academy back in December of 2024. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 43-27 victory over the Lions.

Kerr-Vance Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lj Siplen led the charge by going 9 of 17 en route to 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Siplen's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of M.J. Wright, who posted seven points along with eight boards and four steals.

Kerr-Vance Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Fayetteville Academy against Rocky Mount Academy on Tuesday as the team secured an 85-40 win. Fayetteville Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 24 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Fayetteville Academy and bumps their season record up to 11-7. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-11.
