Basketball Recap: North Lawndale's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

North Lawndale and Leo squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but North Lawndale had to settle for second. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leo Lions. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Lions are ranked 99th).

North Lawndale moved to 15-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.7 points over those games. As for Leo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-11 record this season.

As of now, neither North Lawndale nor Leo have any future games scheduled.
