Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League recap October 29, 2013

Woodland Christian took down Foresthill 45-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Brenden Rodegerdts threw for 237 yards and 3 touchdowns during the win.

The Cardinals made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,428 from 12,516. The improvement was largely due to a 45-6 victory over the Wildfires last week.

Leading Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League in both passing and receiving yards, Foresthill's Connor McCann and Matt O'Brien have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-3 quarterback McCann has thrown for 943 yards this season, while O'Brien has 22 catches for 516 yards. Cristo Rey's Abraham Guevarra leads the league in rushing yards with 413.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Delta takes on Woodland Christian. The Saints are in fourth place, while Bruce Pielstick's team is in first place.

The Cardinals led the league in scoring this week after putting up 45 points on Bobby Quintanilla's team. Rodegerdts in the win.
