Volleyball Recap: Holyoke Victorious

While Holyoke's victory against Athol wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Purple Knights skirted past the Bears 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Purple Knights have posted since April 2, 2024.

Holyoke was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 26-24, 23-25, 26-24, 16-14.

Holyoke's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Athol, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Holyoke and Athol will both be playing John J. Duggan Academy the next time they take the court. The Bears will host John J. Duggan Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Purple Knights will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
