Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mediapolis). They put the hurt on the Van Buren County Warriors with a sharp 12-4 win on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Mediapolis, bringing their record up to 10-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.75 runs across that stretch. As for Van Buren County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Mediapolis didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-1 loss against Central Lee on the 14th. As for Van Buren County, they have also already played their next game, a 13-1 win against Mt. Pleasant on the 14th.
