Baseball Game Preview: Amsterdam Rams vs. Schuylerville Horses

For the second straight game, Amsterdam will face off against Schuylerville. The Rams will square off against the Horses at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Amsterdam is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Schuylerville on Friday. They came up short against the Horses, falling 8-1.

For Schuylerville's part, they let Alex Renner and Lucas Reilly run wild. Renner went 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Reilly went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Renner a new career-high. Alex Palmer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Schuylerville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Amsterdam's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Schuylerville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-1.
