While Providence Day's win against Covenant Day wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chargers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Lions on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Providence Day got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 24-26, 25-22, 24-26, 15-11.

Austen Graziano paced Providence Day's offense, picking up 25 kills. Graziano got some help from Ella Buelow and her 40 assists. Buelow was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Providence Day picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 10-8. As for Covenant Day, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Providence Day didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Charlotte Country Day School on the 30th. As for Covenant Day, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Charlotte Christian on the 30th.
