Volleyball Recap: Marion H Find Success

Marion H lost to Kingdom Christian back in August, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Hawks narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lions 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Despite the loss, Kingdom Christian still got an impressive performance from Evie Oglesby, who had eight kills, seven digs, and three aces. Oglesby has been hot recently, having posted seven or more kills the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Helstad, who had four assists and three aces.

Marion H's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Kingdom Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marion H is set to challenge their familiar foe Kingsway Christian at 3:30 p.m. on the 20th. Meanwhile, Kingdom Christian will square off against rival Grand Lake Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
