Basketball Recap: Turkey Valley Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Turkey Valley took a 24-point defeat the last time they faced off against South Winneshiek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Turkey Valley Trojans came out on top in a nail-biter against the South Winneshiek Warriors on Tuesday, sneaking past 39-36. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-27 back in January.

Turkey Valley is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for South Winneshiek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Turkey Valley will welcome West Central at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Turkey Valley is facing West Central at the right time seeing as West Central is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for South Winneshiek, they will be playing at home against Central at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. South Winneshiek will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Central will have lost three straight heading into Friday's game.
