Soccer Recap: Utica Comes Up Short

After flying high against Anchor Bay last Wednesday, Utica came back down to earth. The Chieftains fell just short of the Dakota Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Monday. Utica were not able to make up for their loss to Dakota from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Utica has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Dakota, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Coming up, Utica will challenge Utica Eisenhower at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dakota, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Romeo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
