Preview: Veritas Christian Academy vs. Atlantic Christian Cougars
Veritas Christian Academy are on the road again on Saturday and plays the Atlantic Christian Cougars at 3:00 p.m. on February 10th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Veritas Christian Academy beat North Warren Regional 41-36.
Veritas Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Amya Cuddon, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Cuddon has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Caitlin O'Malley, who scored 13 points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Atlantic Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against King's Christian as Atlantic Christian made off with a 49-23 victory. Atlantic Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 26 points or more this season.
Veritas Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. As for Atlantic Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
Veritas Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 62-35 defeat at the hands of Atlantic Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Veritas Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
