Basketball Recap: Okemah Beats Little Axe for Their Third Straight Win

Okemah waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Little Axe Indians by a score of 66-58. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Indians are ranked 286th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Okemah is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Little Axe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Okemah will square off against Henryetta at 12:40 p.m. on Thursday. As for Little Axe, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-47 victory against Wilson on the 8th.
