Paetow had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Cinco Ranch Cougars 11-9. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 7-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Andrew Olive looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Adniel Quiles Torres, who went 1-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Brayden Grote also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Paetow always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Paetow's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games.
