Basketball Recap: Bowdon Takes a Loss

Bowdon lost against Greenville back in November of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bowdon Red Devils lost to the Greenville Patriots on the road by a 60-45 margin. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ca'Tavia Bennett continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Greenville, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Bennett's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jamya Kelley, who posted six points.

Bowdon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Greenville, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bowdon won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Atlanta Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Atlanta Classical Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Bowdon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Greenville, they will face off against Mt. Zion at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
