Football Game Preview: North Union Wildcats vs. Greeneview Rams

The North Union Wildcats will take on the Greeneview Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

North Union is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Graham Local just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Wildcats were up 29-13 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Despite the defeat, North Union got top-tier performance from Nick Vanhoose, who rushed for 101 yards and two scores. Vanhoose's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards. Griffin Osborne got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Greeneview had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the Irish 39-7. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Rams just coasted through the last quarter.

Greeneview's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for North Union, their record now sits at 6-4.
