Soccer Game Preview: Triad vs. Belleville West

The Triad Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Belleville West Maroons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Triad's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Highland as they made off with a 9-0 win. It was an even better day for Jaden Sparks as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Belleville West waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Kahoks.

Belleville West's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three games. As for Triad, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Triad came out on top in a nail-biter against Belleville West in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
