Basketball Game Preview: Douglas Tigers vs. Carson Senators

Douglas has gone 8-2 against Carson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Douglas Tigers will challenge the Carson Senators at 5:15 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Douglas came up short against Damonte Ranch and fell 54-47. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ashlyn Greenfield, who posted 18 points along with six boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailee Koontz, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Carson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 46-42 to Bishop Manogue.

Carson has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Douglas, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Douglas beat Carson 42-32 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Douglas since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
