Baseball Recap: Red Rock Comes Up Short

Red Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Phoenix Christian Cougars, falling 23-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 on March 11th.

Red Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Phoenix Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Looking ahead, Red Rock will venture away from home to square off against Northland Prep Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Red Rock is facing Northland Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Northland Prep Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Phoenix Christian, they will be playing at home against Fountain Hills at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Phoenix Christian has won three straight at home, while Fountain Hills won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
