Basketball Game Preview: Life Center Academy Warriors vs. Phelps Lions

Having just played yesterday, the Life Center Academy Warriors will jump right back in to play the Phelps Lions at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Life Center Academy is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight games dating back to last season on Thursday. They took an 82-63 bruising from Lawrenceville School.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Milak Myatt, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 25 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was King Josiah Dunkley-Hamilton, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Phelps, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 90-28 victory over Kohelet Yeshiva.

Phelps now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Life Center Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Life Center Academy ended up a good deal behind Phelps when the teams last played back in February, losing 77-58. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
