Softball Recap: Hancock Comes Up Short

If Hancock was riding high fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Ashby on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Owls fell 5-2 to the Renville County West Jaguars on Thursday. The game marked the Owls' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Renville County West, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Looking ahead, Hancock will venture away from home to face off against Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley at 4:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Renville County West, they will host Lac qui Parle Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Jaguars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
