Football Recap: Southern Bulldogs vs. Chesapeake Cougars
Chesapeake was looking to beat Southern like they did the last time the pair played, but Chesapeake didn't take Lj Evans into account. The Southern Bulldogs snuck past the Chesapeake Cougars with a 28-23 victory on Friday thanks in part to Evans, who rushed for 188 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 138 rushing yards.
Southern is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Chesapeake, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
