Baseball Recap: Bishop McGuinness Comes Up Short

Bishop McGuinness extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping their season record down to 7-12 in the process. They lost 13-2 to the Leadership Academy Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Villains have suffered against the Falcons since March 13, 2019.

As for Leadership Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

For Leadership Academy's part, Clay Smith was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Smith has posted since back in April of 2024. Logan McDonald also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Leadership Academy beat Bishop McGuinness by a score of 13-2 on Tuesday.
