Softball Recap: Sky View Takes a Loss

Sky View's last matchup with Logan could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Bobcats lost 7-1 to the Grizzlies. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Bobcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Avaree Haramoto was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one double.

Sky View's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Logan, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-11.

While Sky View had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
