Baseball Recap: Manatee Comes Up Short

Manatee saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alcoa Tornadoes.

Manatee saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Roberts, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Manatee's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Alcoa, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manatee will venture away from home to face off against Loudon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alcoa, they will head out to take on Sweetwater at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
