Pine Bush came out on top against Middletown on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Bushmen were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Middie Bears. The result was nothing new for the Bushmen, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Pine Bush's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Middletown, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

Pine Bush will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Middie Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
