Wheeling Park is a perfect 4-0 against Weir since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Red Riders at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wheeling Park has five straight wins, Weir has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Wheeling Park had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt John Marshall on Wednesday. The Patriots put the hurt on the Monarchs with a sharp 13-3 victory. Considering the Patriots have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Weir lost a heartbreaker to Steubenville when they met back in April of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. The Red Riders came up short against the Big Red, falling 11-2.

Wheeling Park pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Weir, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Wheeling Park took their win against Weir when the teams last played back in May of 2021 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Riders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
